5th World Summit on Arts and Culture

 
The 5th World Summit’s theme is Creative Intersections -  bringing together government and cultural leaders from over 80 countries to explore how artists can give voice to diverse communities and concerns through collaborations with experts in health and well-being, the environment, education, business, new technologies, cultural identity and more.

19 May 2011 - IFACCA and the Australia Council for the Arts are delighted to announce a further 12 speakers for the 5th World Summit on Arts and Culture.

The speakers, who will address the Summit theme of ‘Creative Intersections’, will come from countries as varied as Fiji, the Netherlands, Mexico, India, Nigeria and Australia. Further information on each of the speakers is available from the Summit website.

7th World Summit on Arts and Culture 2017 – bidding guidelines to be released

 

4 May 2011 - IFACCA’s guidelines for submitting expressions of interest to co-host the 7th World Summit will be released in February 2012.

IFACCA’s World Summit on Arts and Culture is the only international event of its kind and is a platform for national arts councils, ministries of culture, arts and cultural policy decision makers, artists and community leaders to discuss strategies and initiatives about key issues affecting public support for arts and culture at a national and global level.

The 5th World Summit will take place in Melbourne, Australia, on 3-6 October 2011. During this event IFACCA will announce the co-host and location for the 6th World Summit to be held in 2014.

This announcement regarding the call for expressions of interest to co-host the 7th World Summit is being provided now so that interested parties can attend the forthcoming 5th World Summit to inform the development of their expression of interest proposals.

Please note that following an extensive review and selection process (during 2012-2013), the successful co-host for the 7th World Summit would be announced in 2014, during the 6th World Summit on Arts and Culture.
